The essence

You believe even when it looks dire, knowing things aren’t always what they appear to be. You understand that problems are not always solved by simply figuring them out, but by reading between the lines. You’re a free thinking individual who doesn’t conform to legalism or fit into the stereotypical mold because you understand the balance of faith and love. The kind of person who knows we are only limited by our own beliefs, that there is a hereafter, and that you refuse to give in to fear at the expense of love. That to love one another is the greatest command, and it never fails. 

The struggle

When I was growing up there seemed to be a lack of authentic and genuine representation of my faith. I never found anything I could relate to that reflected what I felt. Something that stood for the depth, meaning, and freedom that I crave. Something full of grit to remind me what it means to be alive. There was hardly a brand or group that seemed to stand for the type of Christianity I felt in my heart. It’s important because we spend so much time and energy supporting brands and artist that are usually contrary to what we believe.  It bothered me enough to pray about it. It was soon after this that the idea for The Everything was born. 

The Everything

The Everything is not only a brand to represent the art and creativity we all need and love. It’s a brand to represent the depth and grit of our Christian faith in a creative way. To me, it’s important to build something amazing for the sake of being wonderful. Like a creative sanctuary for the mind. A place that ministers to the soul with creativity and love, not hard sells. The essence of the gospel will sell itself if shared truthfully. Why not have something that represents what we’re all about in a genuine way? A creative way for a creative time. Something with grit and perspective we can relate to and fall in love with.

Moving forward

How many young believers avoid going to church and getting involved because they don’t feel they can relate to what’s out there? I’m not saying that we need to change what we believe or that the church should necessarily change, but that there needs to be more more artists who use their talents in a powerful way. To hold their craft to the highest level of quality as any other. Without compromising what they are called to be.
