Most of the world has a basic understanding of love that is used to build many different relationships across all walks of life. Some more intimate than others, but everyone understands this sort of basic type of love that says we can meet halfway at 50/50.

How many believers see God’s love

Throughout my Christian life I’ve seen many people, myself included, struggle with their relationship with God. The struggle is usually centered around the way we perceive His love for us.

We can easily fall into this being a point of frustration because it is not always clear what He really thinks about us. The issue is especially difficult to deal with because America is so performance driven. We use our performance driven mindset and try to be good enough, thinking that if we don’t our prayers may not get answered or that we could even miss out on God’s blessings, or anything else along those lines. But God does not see things with a linear point-of-view. He doesn’t notice when you were good, when you were bad, and when you got good again because time doesn’t exist to God. All of human history is as a single day to him.

We make the mistake of thinking he sees our mistakes when the truth is, we see our mistakes and shape everything in our reality around the way that makes more sense to us. So we think God is angry with us because we get angry with ourselves. But the Bible teaches something very different than what we will sometimes allow ourselves to believe. I’ve learned, the only thing God judges us on is whether or not we believe on His son.

The true love of God

The full measurement of spiritual awakening is oneness with God, for there is no division in love.

God is love and has given it all away, to believe anything less is to claim He has selfishness.

You cannot believe God loves you without believing He also shares part of His throne.

For the very nature of love is to share all that it has. God is love, who are we to say no thank you?
