My Art Journey Part 4: A Devastating Setback And A Spectacular Solution

As the amazing summer break came to an end it was time to head back to school. In this video I share a big setback that took place that first day of school, one that put a big dark cloud over my whole senior year. But things don’t always turn out the way you expect them to. Find out what happened and how God was able to use this situation to turn things around.

Journey Complete, Kind Of

Later that year I also completed my first major piece of art. “Journey” a 20×26 colored pencil poster of everything that was going through my mind, soul, and spirit that year. Life was changing and I was shifting my mindset toward Heaven’s way of seeing things. This poster took almost 3 months to create, and is a wonderful reminder of how things don’t always end up the way you think they will. On our journey of life there are many distractions to thwart our focus, but there are also things that encourage us to keep going. And yet at the end of it all, life always comes down to a choice. I explain this drawing a little more in the video and talk about the significance behind the door that lies the end of the path. There’s a lot I suppose I could say about this art, but I think part of the fun behind a piece like this is discovering all the details and enjoying a little bit of the mystery.
